A sportigazgató Jochen Schneider állítása szerint a tízmeccses nyeretlenségi széria ellenére sincs veszélyben a vezetőedző David Wagner állása a Schalke 04 labdarúgócsapatánál.

A sportvezető csütörtökön azt mondta, biztosan együtt fejezik be a szezont. "Az idény után pedig közösen fogunk felkészülni az újra" - jelentette ki Schneider. A Schalke az újrakezdés óta mindhárom bajnokiját elveszítette, és a koronavírus-járvány miatti kényszerszünet előtt is rossz formában volt: 2020-ban csak egyetlen mérkőzést nyert meg. A jelenleg kilencedik gelsenkircheni együttes legutóbbi tíz mérkőzésén mindössze négy pontot szerzett, ami a Bundesliga legrosszabb mutatója.
