Large random systems
Vágólapra másolva!

Many systems have the following features: They consist of a very large number of individuals or particules. Each one of them behaves randomly, but one is interested in some "collective" or large-scale properties of the system. Motivations can come for instance from the study of physical systems, where the disordered structure at small scale gives rise to more organised systems on large scale.
The lecturer will try to show how one can describe mathematically such systems, both in the more generic case where the large scale behaviour is (almost) deterministic and in the more exceptional case where the large-scale structure exhibits randomness.
