Több mint tíz év töretlen növekedés után tavaly először csökkent az Egyesült Államokba látogató kínai turisták száma.

Az amerikai nemzeti utazási és idegenforgalmi hivatal (NTTO) kimutatása szerint tavaly 2,9 millió kínai kereste fel az Egyesült Államokat, ami 5,7 százalékkal kevesebb az egy évvel korábbinál.

A tavalyi volt az első év 2003 óta, hogy visszaesett a kínai turisták száma.

Az NTTO az amerikai-kínai kereskedelmi feszültséggel és a kínai gazdaság bizonytalanságával indokolta a látogatók tavalyi számának a csökkenését.
