He graduated from the Secondary School of Mechanical Engineering in Mezőtúr in 1963. He obtained his degree in mathematics, physics, and technology at the Teachers' College of Eger, and his physics teacher's degree at ELTE University. He received his doctoral degree at ELTE, and completed his PhD at the Konstantin Philosophy School in Nyitra. At present, he teaches in the Physics Department of the Eszterházy Károly College in Eger. Apart from teaching he is also involved in the research projects of the physics department in optical spectroscopy, methodology, and environmental physics. He regularly delivers lectures, and travels around the country to stage experiments aimed at popularising the science of physics. He has had more than a hundred publications so far. He is the editor of several independent publications on physics, and an organiser of various physics-related events, both at county- and national level.
