He graduated from the Department of Natural Sciences at ELTE University in 1987. For a short period of time he worked in the Ecology Team of the Animal Section of the Museum of Natural Sciences. In 1989, he switched to the field of information technology. For a number of years he was IT director of the Central European University, before becoming an advisor of Lucent Technologies. Presently, he is a line manager for a Hungarian software integration company that handles international projects. At the turn of the Eighties and the Nineties he had a role in starting up international environmental movements and the founding of the Hungarian Green Party. Since 1999, he has been involved in popularising science, specialising in the relation between pseudo-science and science proper. Most of his articles have been printed in the 'Sceptical' section of Természet Világa [Nature's World]. In 2001, he started up his own sceptical web site called 'X-Mines' (X-Aknák). With the same title, he edited a series of programs hosted by István Vágó on ATV in 2003. At present, he is the secretary - and a member - of the presidium of the Hungarian Society of Those Who Respect the Facts.
