Bokay, Antal

Literary historian

He was born in 1951 in Pécs. Initially, he worked at the Teacher
Training College in Pécs then he taught at the Janus Pannonius
University and finally at the University of Pécs. In 1981 he obtained a
post graduate degree in literary history. He was accredited as a
lecturer Szeged University in 1996. He was a university professor and
head of department at various universities, currently he is deputy
rector of education at Pécs University. He teaches modern Hungarian and
English poetry, literary theory and psychoanalysis. His books published
to date have dealt with systems of literary theory and the poetry of
Attila József.
