Jaksity, Gyorgy

Economist

He was born in 1967. At the age of 36, he became president of the board and founder of the Budapest Stock Exchange and the largest, independent, domestic private investment service company, Concorde Securities Joint-stock Company as well as member of the boards of several social and professional domestic and international organisations. He graduated from the Budapest University of Economics in 1991. As one of the ten most active authorities working on the stock exchange in the first ten years of its operation during Hungary's social and economic transition period, he has been working on the development of the stock market since he was a student. In addition, he regularly publishes, teaches and gives lectures. For many years he has participated in the work of the Smile Foundation, an organisation partially founded by him that works to support health, educational and welfare programmes for children and their communities.
