Elementary particle physics is the deepest scientific theory yet to have existed. All experimental results are in complete agreement with this so-called standard model. However, not even this theory can answer the question of why the world -and matter- exists.
Different physical descriptions are reviewed. The basics of elementary particles physics are summarized for which both experimental techniques and theoretical ideas are presented. To solve the equations supercomputer performance is needed. A cost-effective system is shown.
The three conditions necessary for the genesis of matter in the early universe are discussed. All three conditions could be fulfilled in the standard model; however, their combined effect is not enough to generate matter. In a similar way to relativity or quantum mechanics, this negative conclusion shows the path to extending our physical picture.
