As well as numerous periods of American literature, she specialises in American art, visual culture studies, comparative analysis of words and images, literary theory and post-modern theory. She regularly publishes articles, essays and reviews. She has also published two books, Desire and De-Scription; Words and Images of Postmodernism in the Late Poetry of William Carlos Williams, (Amsterdam, Rodopi, 1999), and Amerikáner (Budapest, Magvető, 2000). She is reader at the Department of American Studies of Eötvös Loránd University.
